About Me
Hi there! Thanks for looking at my site and wanting to know more. I started LIZ ZENOBI Photography in Columbus, Ohio, in 2009, and moved to Maplewood, N.J. in 2013. I am an honors graduate of Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts, and a former Art Director for Grey (Advertising), in
New York City.
I shoot on location, with very little gear, and only natural light. (No flash, no lighting equipment...even my “studio” headshots are done with natural light.) I prefer to shoot outdoors, and I prefer interesting architecture and urban scenery. But I love to explore and try new things. I'll absolutely welcome a shoot in a scenic park, the beach, or even at your home. I can shoot indoors too, as long as there is enough light. Sometimes that's more comfortable, especially for newborns. I'm very "go with the flow" when it comes to working with children, realizing that the best moments are often captured when you empower kids to have a say in what they're doing.
I tend to react more than direct, and I always strive to capture honesty and natural expressions, in an artistic way. I've been told I'm excellent with even the shyest of kids and have a great (albeit slightly embarrassing)
way of making children laugh and getting families to loosen up for the camera. I will do what it takes to get
good shots… even if it means singing ridiculous songs to toddlers, lying down on my belly in the dirt to get a better angle, dumping leaves on my own head to get a giggle, standing in traffic, or even having a pre-shoot cocktail with camera-shy adults. Client satisfaction is key. I want you to love your photos even more than I
love taking them.
Pricing
The session fee for a standard 1-hour local session is $200. This covers time and talent only. Digital files, professional prints, and a variety of printed products are available at a-la-carte pricing. Please contact me for a full pricing packet. The minimum order is $300, so figure a minimum of a $500 investment is required, although most clients end up spending more. The session fee goes up $25 per person for larger groups, due to the extra editing time required. Sessions may be split between two families, at one location, as long as one point person handles all the ordering and communication. Mini sessions are offered a few times a year, at select destinations, and are booked as part of a block. These sessions are 10 to 15 minutes long and result in fewer options, but they are a great way to get updated shots at a fraction of the price. Mini sessions start with a $250 package. There is a separate pricing structure for events. Travel fees are added when necessary.
